ACADEMICS

SPS subscribes to the Telangana State Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Board’s Curriculum. Academic excellence is our constant endeavour and all round development of our students, the primary objective. Education at SPS is a pleasurable experience where all activities are imbibed into the daily curriculum. The mission of our school has always been to encourage the students to explore their talents and abilities by offering equal opportunities to all so that they rise to their fullest potential.

Examinations and Evaluation: The school follows a system of continuous assessment. Tests are held regularly and hence the preparedness of every student of this school has to be thorough. The school conducts two summative assessments in addition to four formative assessments. Weightage is also given to assignments, project works and attendance. Performance in all the above, forms the basis for promoting the students.

School dairy : The school dairy is a part and parcel of the student’s everyday life. Apart from the detailed information and the rules of the school, it also records the day-to-day activities of the class and the performance of the student. It is absolutely imperative that parents check and sign this book on a daily basis.

DISCIPLINE

Each student and faculty member is responsible for creating a serene learning atmosphere at school. A high standard of discipline is maintained at all times and students are expected to be courteous, kind and well-mannered. The students must respect and obey all the rules of the school in force. Students may be dismissed from the school for irregular attendance, unsatisfactory progress, poor academic performance or for indulging in any act of indiscipline. Students must attend school at all times except when they are ill. Such absence should be substantiated by a medical certificate in addition to a written request from the parents.

KINDERGARTEN

The kindergarten section is a world by itself. The K.G wing has an exclusive activity room where nimble fingers are involved in a lot of activities like pasting, clay moulding, paper folding, vegetable painting, spray painting, blot painting and many other crafts and arts. The Audio visual room gives a lot of scope and exposure to our tiny tots where educative, fun and informative audio visuals  are projected on to a huge screen.

Kindergarten’s morning assembly provides children with opportunities to explore their talent. Music, chanting of slokas and singing are a part of the morning assembly every day. Various festivals are celebrated, where children are exposed to rich culture and heritage of our vast nation. The universal brotherhood respecting emotions and social values associated with these festivals are absorbed in this age by our tiny tots. The Annual day is exclusively celebrated for K.G. which is one of the major attractions. Apart from the above, sports day, fancy dress, exhibitions and many other events make the two years of kindergarten memorable and enjoyable for the child and the parents.
